Terezín Concentration Camp Full-Day Tour From Prague

Join us to explore the Jewish Heritage of Prague province (6 - 7 hours)

Let us visit Terezín (Theresienstadt). A Baroque fortress encloses the town, and during World War II, the Nazis evicted its inhabitants and converted it into a concentration camp and ghetto for Jewish prisoners from Czechoslovakia and elsewhere.
Museums in several buildings tell about the prisoners' unbearable living conditions and sufferings. Some were ordinary men, women, and children, but among the inmates were dozens of talented artists. Those who survived several months in Terezín faced transport to an extermination camp, where they ended their lives in gas chambers.
We will explore living quarters, drawings, personal items, pictures, and fragments from the memories of the few survivors. There will be time to visit Terezín's Small Fortress, a place of suffering and execution of political prisoners. The drive from Prague to Terezín is about one hour. Our air-conditioned minivan will take us to both fortresses and other parts of the museum.
