It will be our pleasure to help you get acquainted with the second-most visited sight after Prague. Český Krumlov is an exceptionally beautiful city, and its historical center belongs to UNESCO, just like the center of Prague. The Vltava River flows through the Český Krumlov as well as through Prague. The history of the city began about 770 years ago, when Vítek of Krumlov, from Vítkovitz family, founded it. Several other noble families, such as Rožmberks, Egenbergs, and Schwarzenbergs, picked this city as their main residence from which they managed their vast estates.
The sixteenth century was the most important epoch for the town. Vilém of Rožmberk rebuilt most of the city in the Renaissance architectural style. He invited to Český Krumlov the most famous alchemists of the time, such as John Dee and Edward Kelly, who tried to create a philosopher's stone, or transform various natural elements into gold.

ITINERARY

This is a full day tour for a maximum of 4 people. It will begin in the morning, with a departure from Prague by my car. We will return in the evening. If you are a group of more people, I can order Mercedes minivan for another 250 USD (max 8 people). Minibus for 9 people or more costs 290 USD.

  • KRUMLOV CHATEAU GARDEN, WITH BELLARIE AND REVOLVING AUDITORIUM (walk through the garden)
  • THE CLOAK (PLÁŠŤOVÝ) BRIDGE (walk on the bridge)
  • KRUMLOV STATE CASTLE AND MANSION (GROUNDS) (walk through the grounds)
  • KRUMLOV CASTLE MUSEUM AND TOWER (We will buy the tickets and visit the museum and the tower)
  • LATRÁN DISTRICT (walk among some beautiful Renaissance buildings)
  • After visiting Latrán, we might have a lunch or a snack.
  • OLD TOWN:

  • PARKÁN STREET (visitors will see the former moat and city wall)
  • CHURCH OF ST. VITUS (visit the interior)
  • SVORNOSTI SQUARE
  • TOWN HALL (visitors will view it from the outside)

We will walk past some other important Renaissance and Baroque buildings in the Old Town.
