Christmas Markets Tour in Prague
Enjoy romantic Prague covered in snow, history, and architecture but mainly several Christmas markets on Prague's old squares, where you can drink hot vine, and mead, and taste traditional Czech cakes, smoked chestnuts, and Trdelník. (4 hours tour)
We will start with the ancient Prague Castle, where our kings and emperors had their residency. You will hear a little bit about the history and architecture of this place, and we will visit the Christmas market on St. George Square in Prague Castle courtyards.
From Prague Castle, a short stroll will take us to the other former medieval independent city of Prague called the Lesser Town Square with the pearl of the Baroque style - St. Nicholas Church, where W. A. Mozart played organs. There is another Christmas market in the square.
About half a mile from the Lesser Town Square and right next to the Charles Bridge is the beautiful Kampa Island. This island was a place where Czech famous artists and actors were living in the nineteenth and twentieth century. The calm and picturesque island was inspiring them. On the main square of Kampa Island, we will also find another Christmas market.
This tour does not include visits to any interiors, so no entrance fees are required.
The Prague Christmas markets are open from the end of November through to the first week of January.
